APMC Convention 2022 Abstract Submission Policies and Procedures

The Scientific Papers Forum of the APMC Annual Convention is a venue for medical educators, academicians and medical students from various institutions in the Philippines and other countries to present their relevant scientific papers in oral presentation, ePoster on-demand and ePecha Kucha on-demand and to discuss issues on best practices and newly generated information and innovations using the above-mentioned main theme as well as the subthemes of the convention.

Announcement of winners for the three categories

  • Abstracts of scientific papers and original studies on the suggested themes and subthemes may be submitted.
  • Participants may enter any of the following categories:
    1. Live oral presentation
    2. ePoster presentation (on demand)
    3. ePecha Kucha (on demand)
  • Participants should indicate in each entry as to what category they are joining. Each scientific paper can only be submitted in one category (oral presentation, ePoster or ePecha Kucha).
  • The top five highest ranking abstracts among those submitted for oral presentation will be selected and scheduled for oral presentation on June 10, 2022 during the convention.
    • All those accepted for ePoster presentations and ePecha Kucha will be available on demand during the convention. The three highest ranking presentations in each of the two categories (ePoster and ePecha Kucha) will be announced on June 10, 2022.
  • Winners for all the three categories will receive certificates and acknowledgment of their institutions.
  • Abstracts must be submitted by 9:00 PM PHT, March 31, 2022.
  • Please do not submit multiple copies or versions of the same abstract. Abstract submission will be checked for duplication.
  • After undergoing evaluation, abstract authors will receive confirmation that their abstract has been received, indicating the abstract number that it has been allocated. Please refer to this abstract number in all correspondence regarding the abstract. If you do not receive a confirmation by e-mail, please contact the Scientific Paper Presentation Committee via apmc2022@slmc-cm.edu.ph. The corresponding author should be responsible in informing his/her co-authors about the status of the abstract.
  • Notifications will be emailed regarding acceptance disposition of e-poster, ePecha Kucha and oral presentations to the presenting author for each abstract.

  1. Abstracts must be original.
  2. The presenting author is expected to attend the Conference and present their abstract. Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must be registered participants.
  3. The presenting author is required to ensure in writing that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Scientific Paper Presentation Committee.
  4. Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English format; other languages will not be allowed.
  5. Kindly proofread your abstract. The Committee is not authorized to make changes to a submission, including typographical errors.
  6. All abstracts must be submitted through the official submission portal.
  7. Once submitted, abstracts can no longer be modified or corrected. Kindly input all author and co-authors details which include full first and family name, affiliation details (department, institution, country) with maximum of 20 authors.
